چکیده
The delta robot can reach higher speeds than traditional serial-axis machines used in fused filament fabrication 3D printing. However, like serial machines, printers suffer from undesirable vibration at high which degrades the quality of fabricated parts. This has been suppressed using linear model-inversion feedforward control methods filtered B-splines (FBS) approach. techniques FBS approach are computationally challenging to implement on because their coupled, position-dependent dynamics. In this paper, we propose a methodology address computational bottlenecks by (1) parameterizing portions dynamics offline enable efficient computation model online, (2) computing models sampled points (instead every point) along given trajectory, and (3) employing QR factorization reduce number floating-point arithmetic operations associated with matrix inversion. simulations, report time reduction up 23× proposed method when compared expensive exact LPV model—all while maintaining tracking accuracy. Compensation of printer MTFs
Preliminary experiments have shown that the quality of printed images depends on the capacity of the printing system to accurately reproduce details. We propose to improve the quality of printed images by compensating for the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) of the printing system. The MTF of the printing system is measured using the method proposed by Jang and Allebach, in which test pages c...
متن کاملNumerical solution of functional integral equations by using B-splines
This paper describes an approximating solution, based on Lagrange interpolation and spline functions, to treat functional integral equations of Fredholm type and Volterra type. This method can be extended to functional differential and integro-differential equations. For showing efficiency of the method we give some numerical examples.
متن کاملPosition-based Visual Servoing to 3D Pose with Feedforward Compensation
This paper deals with position-based 6-DoF visual servoing. With a common sense of feedback control, we stress that improvement of the dynamics of the sensing feedback unit is important for a stable visual servoing system. We propose a method to improve dynamics in visual recognition of model-based matching, with the on-line matching compensating the fictional motion of the target in the hand-e...
متن کاملThinking like Archimedes with a 3D printer
We illustrate Archimedes’ method using models produced with 3D printers. This approach allowed us to create physical proofs of results known to Archimedes and to illustrate ideas of a mathematician who is known both for his mechanical inventions as well as his breakthroughs in geometry and calculus. We use technology from the 21st century to trace intellectual achievements from the 3rd century ...
متن کاملDiffeomorphic Registration Using B-Splines
In this paper we propose a diffeomorphic non-rigid registration algorithm based on free-form deformations (FFDs) which are modelled by B-splines. In contrast to existing non-rigid registration methods based on FFDs the proposed diffeomorphic non-rigid registration algorithm based on free-form deformations (FFDs) which are modelled by B-splines. To construct a diffeomorphic transformation we com...
